Yoshino is not only April.
The mountain is green from June to September — long days, deep shade and the paths largely to yourself. See what it looks like in the month your journey brings you here, and what the weather will ask you to wear.
なぜここに このページの軸をグリーンシーズン（6〜9月）に置き直しました。桜を独立した入口にせず、4月以外の11か月にも「今月は何が見えるか」を用意します。更新日を出すのは、季節情報が古いまま放置されていないことを読み手に示すためです（海の京都・Visit Nara とも更新日を出しています）。
内部メモ（先方には数字の出所を確認のうえ） 6月の宿泊稼働率は2月並みと伺いました。受け入れ態勢は整っているのに、人が来ていない時期です。桜期の混雑を分散させたいというご意向とも方向が同じなので、このページで最も力を入れるのは6〜9月とします。

なぜここに P-16「夏の葉桜に覆われた吉野山」を季節ページの最優先写真にします。掲載時期と表現は撮影後に先方確認します。
運用の確認事項 この「THIS MONTH」の帯は毎月の手動更新になります。誰が・いつ差し替えるかを決めないと、真夏に冬の写真が残ります。更新できる体制がなければ、帯を季節単位（年4回）に落とす案も用意しています。
写真の運用 このページは夏の素材で先に公開し、秋・冬の写真は撮影後に差し替えます。写真枠には撮影番号（P-16〜P-18）が入っているので、差し替えは枠の中身を入れ替えるだけで、文章もレイアウトも触りません。秋の撮影は10月末〜11月、冬の屋内素材は同じ回に組み込む想定です。
THE GREEN SEASON · JUNE TO SEPTEMBER
Four months when the mountain is green and the paths are quiet.
The blossom season is two weeks in April. The rest of the year the same 30,000 cherry trees are in leaf — and from June to September they cover the slopes in green. This is when the mountain is at its fullest and least crowded.
June
Rain deepens the colour of cedar, moss and leaf. The quietest month on the mountain, and one of the most beautiful.
July
Leafy cherry trees close over the paths. Walk early, follow the shade, and be off the ridge by midday.
August
Long summer daylight. See the valley before breakfast, then come back out after dusk when the day visitors have gone.
September
Late-summer green, cooler mornings and the first signs of the turn. Walking weather returns.

なぜここに（このページで最も大きい変更です） 6〜9月を独立した節として立てました。四季の中に埋めると、いちばん送客したい4か月が12分の4に薄まるためです。
フランスからのお客様は1回の滞在が平均18.4泊、ドイツは18.0泊で、その旅程は吉野の桜の2週間に合わせては組まれません。6〜9月は「空いている時期」ではなく「山がいちばん充実している時期」として書きます。
6月は梅雨で敬遠されがちですが、杉と苔が最も美しい月でもあります。雨天でも催行できる体験（和紙・葛・酒蔵などの屋内）を並べれば、雨は弱点ではなくなります。どの体験が雨天催行できるかは要確認です。
WEATHER AND WHAT TO WEAR
The mountain is colder than the city below it.
Yoshino sits on a ridge, and the town is reached by long slopes and steps. Visitors decide what to pack from numbers, not adjectives — so this block will carry them.
Spring
Blossom season, then new leaves. Mornings on the ridge stay cold well after the city has warmed up.
Summer
Long daylight, humid air and deep shade under the canopy. The rainy season falls inside this period.
Autumn
Cool, dry air and colour gathering around the paths. The most comfortable season for walking all day.
Winter
Clear skies, bare ridges and open views. Snow is possible; paths and steps can be icy in the early morning.
なぜここに 欧米豪の旅行者は月別の気温と降水で服装と靴を決めます。Walk Japan は Weather を常設ページに持っています。いまの吉野には数字が1つもありません。
埋め方 気温・降水は気象庁の平年値（吉野または最寄観測地点）を出典つきで転記すれば、先方確認なしで埋まります。「積雪の有無」「紅葉の見頃」「道路・ロープウェイの冬期休止」だけが先方確認です。ここを切り分けておけば、公開までに要確認は数件まで減らせます。

Blossoms are one brief chapter. New leaves follow across the slopes.

Bare ridges reveal the shape of the mountain. Most of the season happens indoors — in the brewery, the sawmill and the workshop.

WINTER, INDOORS
In winter, the mountain empties and the work moves inside.
要確認 Some businesses on Mt. Yoshino close for the winter — which ones, and for how long, is still being confirmed. We would rather check that than let you find out on the day.

The brewing season
Sake is brewed in the cold months. Three small breweries work this valley, and winter is when there is something to see.
The sawmill
Yoshino cedar and cypress are milled here. The grain of a tree planted a century ago is easier to understand standing in front of it than in a photograph.
Fermenting and kuzu
Miso, soy sauce and kuzu starch are all cold-weather work. Kuzu in particular is made in winter, from a root dug in winter.
なぜここに 冬を屋内で組み直しました。冬に閉まるお店があることは、書かずに来ていただくと当日その方の1日が失われるところなので、隠さずに書く方針です。
ただし「多くの店が閉まる」という書き方は、いったん外しました。どの事業者が・いつからいつまで休まれるかを、こちらで確認できていないためです。実際より広く書くと、開いているお店に対して失礼になります。英語側は「一部は閉まる／範囲は確認中」に直し、屋内コンテンツの側も Proposed と明示しています。
そのうえで、冬にしかできない仕事が屋内にあります。酒の仕込み・製材・発酵はいずれも寒い時期の仕事で、しかも吉野の資源（杉・檜・葛・水）そのものです。「冬は何もない」ではなく「冬は中に入る」という構成にできます。
写真は第2回撮影（10月末〜11月）に屋内素材として組み込む想定です。屋外の紅葉と同じ回で撮れるため、追加の撮影日は要りません。撮影番号は P-30・P-31・P-32 を新しく起こしました（欠番の P-22・P-26・P-27・P-28 は、当日の取り違えを避けるため再利用していません）。
要確認 3つとも「見学を受け入れていただけるか」が未確認です。仕込み中の蔵は衛生や作業の都合で入れないことも多いため、受け入れの可否と時期を事業者さまにご確認いただきたい項目です。可否が分かるまで、英語側も `to be confirmed` のままにしています。
SPRING, HONESTLY
If you come for the blossoms, book early. If you cannot, come later.
The blossom season lasts about two weeks, and it is the one time of year when Yoshino is genuinely busy. We would rather tell you how far ahead to book than tell you to avoid it.

なぜここに 「混むから避けてください」ではなく「この時期は何日前に予約が必要です」と書くほうが誠実で、しかも閑散期への誘導としても効きます。数字が入って初めて機能するブロックなので、「宿が何か月前に埋まるか」の1つだけは8/25で必ず持ち帰りたい項目です。

なぜここに 旅行者が自分の訪問月から逆引きできるようにします。4月も表に戻しました。桜を特別扱いせず並べることが、このページの主張そのものだからです。
この表の読み方（社内向け） 右の列は「要確認」を並べただけではなく、何を確認すれば公開できるかを1件ずつ書いてあります。多くは景観の時期で、確認先はビューローさん（＋必要なら吉野町）です。
8/25で決めたいこと ①この12行を誰が埋めるか（ビューロー側の担当者を1名）②いつまでに埋めるか（撮影は秋・冬と続くので、秋撮影前に紅葉、冬撮影前に積雪が要ります）③埋まらない月をどう出すか。公開版でこの列が残ると信頼を落としますので、確定できない月は行ごと落とす判断も含めて決めます。
